Our Team

Tammy, Owner

Tammy, Owner

Hi, I’m Tammy—owner of Fetch! Pet Care Tucson, a full-service pet care company proudly serving Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Sahuarita, and Green Valley. Thanks for visiting! We know you have choices when it comes to your pet’s care, and we’re grateful for your consideration. At Fetch!, “We love them like you do.” That’s not just our tagline—it’s the heart of everything we do. In 2018, a flexible schedule and a lifelong love of animals led me to Fetch. I started as a sitter with the previous franchise owner and even convinced my semi-retired husband, Jim, to join me. What began as a career shift quickly became our new “pet project.” After more than 30 years in real estate, I was used to managing a flexible, client-focused schedule—skills that translated perfectly into the world of pet care. It felt like destiny when I took over the franchise in April 2020—yes, right as the world shut down. But even through the challenges of a global pandemic, Fetch! Tucson has thrived. We’ve grown from 10 sitters and 200 visits a month to over 35+ sitters and 1,000 visits a month—and we’re still growing. That means we have the team, experience, and dedication to provide your pet with the very best care. At home, Jim and I share our lives with four rescue cats—Brutus, Bogart, Bourbon, and Annabelle. When I’m not busy with pets and clients, you’ll find me soaking up time with my six step-grandkids (with one more on the way!), relaxing on a beach, or enjoying a glass of wine beneath a desert sunset.

Valerie – Assistant

I started off as an animal lover, volunteer, and Fetch! client. One of my most rewarding experiences was saving a two-week-old kitten during a brutal and cold NYC winter. Helpless, crying, with eyes barely open, this was my first experience with bottle feeding and rescue work. It deepened my understanding of how selfless and challenging animal rescue can be. Lucky is now nine years old and my grumpy resident cat. He inspired me to keep finding ways to give back to my community through cat rescue. Before Lucky, I was in the process of looking for a dog. I am now two cats deep—my second boy is named Ronaldo. There’s no measure of how much animals enrich our lives and make us better people. They truly become extensions of our family. Working in the entertainment industry, I travel often and know how difficult it can be to find reliable, loving pet care. When I heard about Fetch! from my mom, a long-time client, I knew I’d found something special. The loving care, sitter updates, fun photos, and real-time check-ins took all the stress out of being away. Joining the Fetch! team felt like a natural next step—to give others the same peace of mind I experienced as a client.

Kayte

Kayte

Hello! My name is Kayte, and I’ve worked in the office at Fetch! since the summer of 2024, when I moved to AZ from a remote mountaintop in CA. I now live in Oracle, AZ with my teenage daughter Lindsay, Squirrel (my 11-year-old pit bull), and Ruby (my 4-year-old Catahoula x Cane Corso). I have also raised goats and chickens and owned countless reptiles, small animals, birds, and tropical fish tanks. I am especially fond of large and/or ‘aggressive’ dog breeds. When I’m not in the office at Fetch!, I usually rockhound, play the piano (Scott Joplin), or hang out with my two dogs.
Liz

Liz

I have lived in Tucson for 2 years and come from Bend, OR. My husband and I love to hike and ride bikes. I developed a love for animals, thanks to my dad. It may have been rescuing an opossum in our garage, his love for our pets, and his teaching us to respect all animals. I have fostered cats for our local humane society. I also took one summer to trap a colony of feral cats, have them altered, and return. That experience left me feeling accomplished, educated, and so happy to help both the kitties and my community. After retirement, I cared for my friend’s pets while they enjoyed their vacation time.
James

James

I’m originally from Oregon and moved to Tucson with my wife, Dana, in 2010. We love to spend time hiking and have made the beautiful state of Arizona our home for the past 15 years. Shawna

Shawna

Shawna’s love for animals began in childhood—her earliest memories include sharing bath time with the family cat and caring for everything from horned toads to dogs. That lifelong bond inspired her to study veterinary assisting and pursue a career in animal-related public service. Over the years, Shawna discovered her true calling in rescue work, with a special focus on pit bulls and dogs labeled "hard to handle." Her experience spans the rescue and rehoming of countless animals, from raccoons and squirrels to pigs, ferrets, cats, and dogs. Shawna believes every animal is a gift—here to teach us about love, loyalty, and forgiveness. As she often says, "We may not deserve them, but we can show them how much they matter."
Christine

Christine

Christine’s journey with animals began on a 1,200-acre farm in Kentucky, where she lived with her grandparents from ages 7 to 10. The farm was home to soybeans, corn, tobacco—and a lively mix of dogs, cats, a parakeet, and a big vegetable garden. It was there that she first discovered her deep connection to animals, spending hours by their side and even witnessing a few births. Those early years planted the seeds of a lifelong passion. She spent 38 years in Colorado, where her home was filled with ducks, rabbits, and cats. During that time, she also ran a pet-sitting business, caring for everything from horses and goats to chickens and household pets. Whether with her own animals or someone else’s, her focus has always been on creating safe, loving environments. Today, she’s the proud pet mom to Jack the dog, Olive the kitten, and Walter the rabbit—three bonded companions who play like siblings and bring constant joy to her life. She brings that same care and energy to her work with Fetch! Pet Care, where she’s grateful to support both pets and their people every day.
